Hey guys.

I like watching them eat live food but from stuff i read online its not really a good idea to as their main diet, But what are the best live food for dats or predatory fishes in general?

I Chould get mini frogs, crickets, (live)prawns, meal-worms, gold fishes, guppies, and mollies at my LFS which should i choose?

I got them eating market prawns for their daily diet. Is that good enough? should i try changing them to pallets?

as far as i know, for ANY fish, a varied diet would be ideal. i'm not exactly sure, but massivore ( pellet ) is made of many ingredient which would be better than just feeding one thing since the fish can get more different nutrients. so ya, i recommend pellets + something else.... which can get $$$ but worth it as u can tell the fish grows healthily

I feed massivore, NLS, market shrimp, and tilapia now. Its best to be able to feed pellets. If you enjoy watching your fish eat live, you should raise your own live to make sure they are parasite free and feed once in awhile for your entertainment

ok how about frozen blood worms? Any nitration value in them?

I don't think so. I know the ones I have doesn't come close to pellets. either way you should try to get them to take pellets.

All above recommendations are good. Pellets are very very good for growth. But pellet related growth rate is only Really noticeable over several months of pellet feeding compared to feeding say just prawns. An yes, hikari is well expensive..I buy from
eBay and it costs be about $50 /kg of massivore/ carnivore, when. I buy 5 kg at a time.

I have no experience in recommending live fish, but earthworms are EXCELLENT for fattening up tiger fish. Just make sure the soil they come
From does not use fertilisers .

I recently picked up a little dat that actually eats pellets. It is the first dat that I've had to do so,so I'm preety pleased about it.My other little one eats freeze dried krill and small chunks of raw fish.
