well i plan on getting a fairly large tank for it. prolly around 400 gallons. i will be moveing into a new house in around 2 years. hes in a 55gal atm. and i have 7 red devils in a 150gallon atm... i have had ideas about haveing his tank being my kitchen table... but to answer your question its get a large tank or dig a pond... my parents had 3 ponds when i was younger so i could do that i guess. but i want to see him lurking. he doesnt EVER swim he diggs and runs across the bottom, and when he hunts he just sits there and waits, as u can see on his videos. so he doesnt neet all that much room. when hes about 120lbs he would still be fine in a 400 gallon.

Wurm that's an awesome picture!!!!!! I thin kthe snapper looks good. Clean water (although they don't really require it) and plenty of room.

" YOUR TURTLE IS A ****ING WHORE"

... LOL

Who calls a turtle a whore ?!?!

You win best comments on Youtube.com congratulations.

On a side note, people are stupid they think feeding "Feeders" is inhumane. I think feeding something that hunts is no problem, something that can adapt more like a cichlid, ok... I can see only feeding that pellets, but something like a snapping turtle, or FW Barracuda, Gar... Its not possible.

If you spend a little more time here and read up you will understand.

Honestly, thats not enough room for them, first off, secondly these fish can reach up to 14".

A mated pair, would do very well in a 150g. Also, if you spend more time here you'll find most of us consider a tank of that size kinda small.

Im going to let you know one thing here. We love our fish, we pamper our fish, we give our fish the most amount of room we can afford, and filtration out of our budget.

So if you accept these simple facts, you will get along with all of us famously.

Golden Rules:

1. You could always use a bigger tank (Always)
2. Goldfish are bad as feeders (No nutritional value)
3. Over filter your tanks
4. Understocked > Overstocked
5. Varied diets make the world go round
