Well i wont be home tomorrow to receive my shipment of 2 inch pbass and i was wondering how many of u guys have had success just throwing your pbass straight after they have received them? This seems to me like the most safe and fool proof way for me to have my uncle release them in, by the feedback i have gotten back from people. many people vouched that this method has worked for them but is it the same for pbass? especially small ones Or i could just have him leave it in the house till i got back at 3:30pm and the shipment is scheduled to arrive by 10:30am

have him at least poke some holes with a fork in bag an let float on top of tank. do that for 15-30min min then let go in tank. this is what i have done.

so is should forget telling him to leave it their for me to acclimate them later?

probably the best to just drop them in if your not home most likely the temp in the bag will be lower than your tank and better to be warmer than colder .....Oh ya but you know dripping them would be much safer go buy a clean bucket use some air line thats laying around and an air valve start a siphon tonight then shut it off so your uncle can just dump the bag in the bucket tommorrow and turn on the valve;)

imo i would wanna get them going as soon as possible, less stress the better. especialy after shipping. have him turn of the lights as well, just seems to help the stress levels. just my 2 cents

i have an u can. but a sudden temp change or water change can cause alot more stress, an even kill some fish. maybe im wrong. just let the, float on top of the water for 15 30 mins with holes punched in bag, this allowes some water exchange an temp to get closer to same in ur tank. i have only just tossed fish in as a last ditch attempt.

okay yea sounds easy enough and he does have some fish experience but i think he might have to go to work right after so ill see if he has time to do that. how long should i tell him to wait? i usually just wait til the water level doubles
