For full sheets I clamp my 4' level to the plywood and use it as a guide/fence.[/QUOTE]
I'll bet you could get great square cuts doing it this way. I was going to suggest this (there are numerous you tube videos explaining how to do this). If you are only considering buying a table saw for the aquarium build, I would first try this method on some scrap peices of plywood. Could save you $$$.. Or better still, have the store cut it for you.

Ridgid makes a real nice folding/portable table saw on lockable wheels that folds down, can easily be stashed in the corner when not being used. Thing is a beast. However any of the brands listed will work for you. More important that you have a nice sharp quality blade that won't splinter your plywood, and a stable fence for ripping long 8' lengths. It's a challenge to rip a 4'x8' sheet by yourself if you are not experienced. Might not be a bad idea to recruit some help.
Someone else mentioned a circular saw can be just as good with stable hands, this is true. It works best if you clamp a straight edge on your plywood to use as a guide and then run your saw right on the guide in one shot.

I am a carpenter and I would not recommend a table saw. There is no need.
All you need is a good circular saw two clamps and a straight edge.
I use Hitachi, but dewalt and makita are also good.

i tried a circular saw but my cuts were not straight... and i do not have very steady hands :/ thats why i was considering a table saw. but seeing as though i do not need an extremely expensive one... i was going to go with ryobi. but i may consider ridgid as that was my first choice. its just 500$ xD thats alot of money

Did you use clamps and a long straight edge?
You just run the saw down the straight edge and get a perfect cut because the Base of the saw just follows the straight edge.
A circular will cost you around 60 dollars.
