As sad as it is, I've noticed in the past that some stuff, though valuable, might be easier disposed of than given away.
I commend you on the noble giveaway, though. Very generous of you, and I wished there were tire tracks in your driveway from somebody hauling it to a good new home.

I never would have thought this would be such a PITA. The local schools don't want any tanks this size. The hospital and clinics turned me down except one that said they'd take a free tank if I set the system up and would maintain it. SERIOUSLY?!!!
It's simple, either folks show up to take the tanks or they become landfill by turkey day. After that I plan on just adding a smh to every south-easter's post about never finding any good deals in this part of the country.

Being in eastern Pennsylvania it's just too far for me but if distance wasn't an issue I'd be on some of that stuff like a cheap suit.Hopefully a few members live close enough to be able to come by and pick up some things.
My wife and I drove from MS to NY state several years ago to pick up a matched pair of 500 gal frag tanks from a closing breeder. It was over 18 hours each way. But, the deal was pretty good and we decided to make an extended weekend of it and enjoy some northern food and shopping along the way. And, gas was nearly $4/gal back then.
Oh yeah,I'd travel if the item was worth it,I have done it for quite a few of my fish but in this case I would need a nice sized panel truck which I don't have.
