you're on the right track with the wet dry, why would you want to add an unreliable problematic hagen product? build a bigger sump and get a bigger mag drive pump and you'll be WAY better off. i had a fx5 and after the third problem i went to a trickle filter and will NEVER use a crappy canister ever again! sump is the only way to fly!

I've got a fluval 404 and like it, and I want something to add additional mech. I may well go with a bigger sump down the road, the w/d is pretty much maintainance-free and a bigger one with a higher-volume pump is going to eventually be in the plans.
