what happened to him.... so sorry.... i am right now fighting to keep my dobie alive.. she is doing well at the moment.. she has liver disease and breast cancer.. she is 10 years old.. i am feeding her boiled chicken, rice and sweet potatoe etc etc. never again any of my dogs will be on bagged commercial food... how old was your boy.....

RD..he was 6 days away from being 11. not really sure what happened to him. i came home from dinner and he was gone.
Im sorry to hear about your dobie.
some bagged dog food is fine..but i understand totally..if i had to do it all over again i would be feeding him real food.

He was just gorgeous.. and i can see in the pics how much he was loved and how much he loved you...very sad... and thanks... i know it is going to be a long/short haul...you did a wonderful job for your beautiful boy to make it to 11.. my first dobie made it to 16 years old...he probably should have been in the book of records for longest living dobie.. he got cancer.. and we took him for treatments.. can you imagine..i wanted him to live even longer.. he reminds me of yours.. second dobie.. age 8 years.. and this one is 10. from what i have read ...they have sooooooooo many numerous diseases.. heritary.. etc ..
yeah, its a shame that such a great dog has so many problems..
16 years is along time..that must have been rough.
