It has one, but it has a time limit. I think it's something like 30 minutes after you submit a post. Anyway, if the worm isn't getting eaten, you definitely need to get it out of there or it wil die and rot.

I have been taking them out as soon as they "change color."

hahaha this is funny!

Ain't funny at all... :irked: damn thing still won't eat at least in front of me. He may be getting scraps when the lights turn off but food is still hitting him in the head and he doesn't move. Luckily, the oscar has been cleaning up the bottom of the tank so I don't have too lol

i know, that is frustrating. it is just funny the way you worded it, and i got this image of the eel shamefully hiding his friendship w the worm in a dark cave lol

I used to worry about eels dying and rotting, but then somewhere on MFK I read a story about a 2 something (2 day, 2 week, 2 month, 2 year, I cant remember at all..) earthworm COMPLETELY ALIVE every time they vacuumed the gravel (so probably at least a month)
So now I just throw worms in whatever tank I feel like and forget.

And I have found some truth to this.
Usually if the worm is being attacked by fish it will die..
But there are some worms in the various tanks here that live at least a few days.
