For the Huge tank owners.. I got a ??

Thanks for the input guys! I'm looking at around 800-1200g. I have not made my mind up if I'm going to so a 12'x3'x22" set up or turn the rear corner of the basement into a huge tank. I was just worried about how to heat it, and how to do water changes lol... I like the constant drip set up.. I was going to get an RO that is plumbed directly into the tank that added water from close to the bottom.. with a drain that was at the top that would run off outside.. not in a drain. I have never done a monster tank and there are plenty of them on this site. I knew this would be the place to get the best advice! lol I was planning on doing a good sump set up for filtration. Tank will have a few rays, aro, maybe a gar, then the biggest maybe on this would be GATF.. so nothing that is completely huge but some fish that could use the space. I think it would have a very small bio load lol. Rays being the biggest contributors.

Curious... has anyone dripped "Hot Only" water as the tank is cycling to see how it heats the tank? Im sure there could be many factors but I assume it would lower the electeic bill by avoiding a heater. Maybe a 24 hour temp too so you can have a visual daily?

Just thinking out loud Lol

Electrical BILL IS ABOUT 100 FOR MY 8 TANKS. WATER BILL IS ULGY ALSO. I THINK IT'S HIGH COMEING IN AND HIGHER GOING OUT WITCH THEY SHOULD NOT EVEN CHARGE ME FOR I DRAIN IN TO MY YARD.

I NEED A WELL OR SPRING. AND A WINDMILL AND SOLAR PANELS. LOL
IF I COULD ONLY MAKE THEM MY SELF.

$100 for electricity on 8 tanks is pretty cheap. I pay $100/month electricity alone on my 450g. This cost is during winter. Summer is about 1/2 the cost.

Well I guess I'm going to have my hands full with this. My rays have to have to room though and pretty soon
