For the People who have tanks on their basement...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
small mag drives work really well. hook a hose on the magdrive that u leave in the tank and run the hose out the back of the tank with a coupler on it and when ever ur ready to drain u can run ur hose up the stairs and out the door and just plug right into the coupler and plug ur mag drive in.:)

I have the same problem bro...............125 gal in basement....= pita.......& very long annoying w/c.............Python suction is close to nothing pumping up a full flight of stairs and a waste of water............what I did (almost said eff it and quit)..............was buy a flow tech 1/6th hp utility pump (home depot, $70...you can go bigger if you are Monster!!!) and I now pump the water either directly from the tank to the toilet............pump attached to the python hose ...yes the toilet or if it's gravel vac week i will siphon the water into a 50 gal rubbermaid then pump from there............a lot quicker and less frustrating...GET A UTILITY PUMP..........if your big tank is in the basement!!!!!!!:D

and who gave you that idea and how long did it take you to finally buy the pump

i have utility sinks and a bathroom in my basement so im set

I use an old garden hose that feeds into the sump. I use a normal everyday gravel vac, get it going and have a small bucket to catch the water while i put the vacs hose into the old garden hose. The water goes right into the sump. How I fill the water, is by using 5 gallon buckets. I always have a full one by my tank for the water to get to room temp and the floride(spelling?) dissolves in about 24 hours or so. Im on a tight budget so this is the cheapest route for sure.

thanks thanks!!!
so there a sink in the basement just not finished...
we still have to build the 2nd toilet so i guess python is all i need.!!!
