My green terror is a homicidal maniac, he attacks anything and everything. I tried to put him in my 180 and it was WW3. So there are some out there that are nasty.

I have mine with 3 blood parrot cichlids in a 55 gallon tank, and they don't acknowledge their there. They tend to "square off" which each other, but rarely nip anyone.
Rocksout, what size tank you plan on housing the terror in? Thats the most important bit of info.
I agree with Bluekiller. Tank size is very important when selecting tank mates for a territorial fish. Personally I think that the best way to go with GT's(given that you have the room for them) is a breeding pair. I'm not sure that there is a better looking SA/CA cichlid than a male GT in breeding dress!! IMO of course.
IME, I had 2x GT's, 2x JD's, 2x BP's, 5x Con's, 5x yellow labs, 2x oscars and 3x servums.

thanks for sharing everyone! we are planning on starting out with juveniles in our new 55 gal we're setting up but that won't be the permanent home. next year or around christmas we're planning to upgrade to a 125 gal. just want to make sure we purchase all the fish together when they're young and we're going fish shopping weekend after this one!
