Thats your idea of fun? I would personally just go diving in the great barrier reef or something...

Lol, I think you are having a misunderstanding here. These dreams happen in the middle of the night. If I force myself to wake up then I'll just go back to sleep.

I'm not tied to a bed in a research lab all day long.

I dreamt I was cheating on my wife, when I awoke I felt guilty as hell! The other parts are untrue, i.e. I've hit the ground plenty of times in flying dreams and never woke up dead!? Although I once convinced someone else they could fly and they died, in my dream of course. I have a lot of naked in public dreams too? Good luck analyzing that one.

You guys are acting out your little sick fantasies in your dreams, such as breaking into homes, raping women, and cheating on spouses. Chances are when you day dream you fancy the same fantasies.

Funny, reread my post.

I did not... nor do I approve of rape in any form. Even in a dream (with much lower IQ and not a fully clear mind) I stopped myself.

Many people cannot control their dreams. Westie never said he controlled his dream or was aware he was dreaming.

i myself am a lucid dreamer, ive been having lucid dreams my entire life and my point of view is that in your dreams you should do whatever you please because you will never be able to do it in real life, hence the term dream.

I feel the same, I have plenty of dreams of robbing people, running from cops and the sort (maybe its to control us in real life), I also have dreams when I'm doing morally right things, acting like a vigilante (whooping someones ass for attacking someone, stuff like that), and then theres the dreams when I get in a fight and I become super weak and super slow, I hate those lol. But I have plenty of lucid dreams that I feel definitely do not make me a bad person, maybe controls me from becoming a bad person. I have read about psychiatrists that feel rape and certain things even as far as beastiality are instinctive human behavior and we change through morals, how were brought up, and through society; but all that is highly debated.

I feel that when you are in a dream, an Aliester Crowley quote fits perfectly: "Do what thou wilt..."

"People" in your dreams are not people, they are representations of people.
Hurting them does not hurt anyone in reality. Making them feel good does not make anyone feel good in reality.

The way I see it, they are your dreams, and they are there for you to play with. Do what you want. If you are on moral guard during your dreams and don't feel right doing something, don't do it. Do what makes you happy, not what you think might be fun, if it will make you feel any amount of guilt after.

Humans are animals when all is said and done. We still have behaviors locked in our brains that we suppress in everyday life that sometimes comes out in our dreams... Explore them and have fun with them.

If you want to strip down to nothing and walk through the mall, do it. If you want to punch someone in the face, do it. If you want to "get" with someone, do it. If you don't, don't. You're not going to hurt anyone.

I'll have a lucid dream maybe once a fortnight, but I'll have another 5 or so very vivid dreams in the meantime. It'll take me until lunchtime or so to fully remember the dreams and they'll still be patchy memories - within the first few minutes of waking up I'll remember everything, forget it and not be able to remember for hours. :screwy:

I can also dream the same dream several times over and even over a 6-8 month timeframe, and I mean 3-4 months apart in that timeframe.
Its certainly a very weird experience to say the least to have partial control over a dream, and its not as if I have total control of everything like my surroundings or the situation (sometimes), but I have full control of myself and the reactions from others to what I'm doing.

I've recreated entire scenes from my life, realised it was dejavu, then realised it was a dream, then completely changed the outcome.... Created entirely fabricated situations (as you do in a dream) and had control of them.. hmmm.. pretty bad when I lay in bed for hours before going to sleep as well, its 2am local time here lol.

I'm only 21, I think I need less hormones, more study, more work and more sport so my mind is ready to sleep when my body is :irked:.

I have never head the term lucid dreams, i had to google it to see what it was.:D

This sounds very awesome, i would love to have lucid dreams. I never even remember my dreams when i wake up. I dont "dream" that i am aware of. I just lay down, fall asleep, and wake up. Gets kind of boring...

You should definately do stuff like breaking in if you want, because you will never know the feeling in real life (if you are a decent person, which i believe you are).

Is there any way to increase the chances of lucid dreams? I would like to have lucid dreams.
