Good choice. Only thing is once the jag gets close(within an inch or 2) in size of the severum it may be bad news for the severum. I have a 12" jag and he would destroy ANYTHING I put in with him. I'm not saying your stoclist couldn't work but jags are violent IME. The plan you have now should give you time to tell whether it will work out before permanent damage is done. Good luck and make sure to update..

i think you would be fine with what you want to stock in a 120. jags are usually more terratorial meaning they only run at fish if they wonder in the jags area and not so much downright killers like rds and doviis there are exceptiion as always

thats what i got from my experience with my female jag they only fought for their area of the tank. I will watch aggression levels a they grow. I was at the lfs store yesterday and they had a single jag left in a tank that had over 20 babies. They said it was beat on alot its only an inch and half and he was only 2 bucks. They said he's healthy and i wanted to get him and put him in my empty running 10 gallon cuz i felt bad but i didnt

should i rescue this lil guy from the store or no. its really buggin me. hes at my local petsmart. he looked unhappy i figured a 10 gallon alone would be ok and then he would be moved to a 20 gallon long and if he was healthy enough i would add him to my bigger tank or find him a better home

yea i thought about a build but that can get pricey. I'm gonna see what becomes available in the next few months. went to petsmart to se their tank sale today and the jag was still there that looked like it needed help. Tanks were so so but didnt see anything i wanted to get
