What kind of feeders do you use?

Is it out of necessity or entertainment?

Not often, just bc petco quit selling rosies and I don't feel like driving across town to get some. petco is a 6 min walk away

How often do you use feeders?

Which fish get feeders?

Do you quarantine? If so, how?

Do you gut load?

Have you gotten any diseases because of it?

necessity.

buy em once a week, feed err few days

gars, bichirs. [which is all my fish]

Do you quarantine? If so, how?
not exactly. i hold them in a separate tank for a while to let the sick ones die off though.

Do you gut load?
not really.

Have you gotten any diseases because of it?
no.

For my Dats, I use only goldfish and alternate with pieces of shrimp soaked in Kent Zoe. For those who quarantine and gut-load, I applaud their dedication and scrupulousness, but I have never found either of these activities to be necessary or even particularly useful.

I feed my rainbows and silver dollars a snail or two every week.they really only get shell sometimes but it hasn't hurt them. they come straight out of my guppy tank and I don't really worry about disease.

I have used feeders on and off for years. I usually just poor them into a net over the sink and wash them off with water. They are tough, and they are just food. I haven't had any real problems that way.

I have used commet Goldfish and white clouds in the past but I have started breeding convicts as feeders and will soon be steadily using them. I have 6 breeding pairs. It has taken a bit to get everything happy in the tanks but I will soon add another growout tank so I can seperate them from their parents sooner. I use feeders when Im gonna be gone for a couple days but as I have more feeders I will start using them regularily. the fish love it and they are way more active after getting live food. hopefully I can rasie 50% of my food soon. I am feeding JD's a silver aro Emperor Sharks and 5 Blood red Parrots. I have only quarantined the feeders from walmart and it has saved me from getting ich twice in my main tanks

Do you quarantine? If so, how? For one week in a ten gallon tank

Do you gut load? Yes

Have you gotten any diseases because of it? No because I get rid of the diseased fish with the quarantining process
