for you bikers...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
sorry i disagree my first bike was a 750 and if i had got anything smaller i would have just thrown it away. anything smaller is unstable at hiway speeds and just dont have enough poewer to merg into traffic. but iam 6'1 and 205lbs. i would suggest at least a 600.

not always true .. i have a 750 with a stage one performance kit and its not enough bike for me .. i am 6'2 195lbs ... it works .. and i will probably have the bike for another few years but i am planing on upgrading to a victory vagas when i can.

and for the OP that bike is just a glorified moped .. Extremely underpowered and not really usable for a actual motorcycle .. but would be fine for transportation to and from work ..

i still would not buy a small bike new. he will get tired of it or out grow it fast and want a bigger one soon. next year after bike is paid for iam getting a rv but a 1300 is on the list to get.

for someone who has never riden a bike before in there life, you think a 600 is too small? huh i cant compare 600 to 750's ive never riden a 750 i went from a 600 to a liter bike.

all these people think 125's are underpowered for highway use, when in the UK, everyone starts out on a 125, and rides them on the highway.
It's like the UK's version of the Ninja 205r, but way cooler.

I dont believe in starting on an I4 bike, thats just me.
You hit a bump and grab a handful of throttle on an I4 bike, and you're toast.

And another thing, don't say you're too big to start on a 250.
I've seen some BIG dudes haul on 250's.

That is actually a very low powered motorcycle. Very good beginners bike, but if you're talking about safety, it will always be 10x's more dangerous on a bike than in a car. Whether or not you're a good rider, there are always bad drivers out there.

That bike is a lower powered bike and would be perfect for a beginner. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Also, you are going to worry when he is out riding. It's not a matter of what bike he is on.

Don't listen to the people that say a 600 or 750 aren't enough bike either. Thats what they all say until they get passed in the corners!

thanks for the advice, everyone...i guess i will be a wreck when he goes out on that bike...its true no matter what you ride, accidents can happen. just trying not to think about it for *now*
