Ford bans competitors' vehicles from lot

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's no different than a company dress code. And all these idiots who got laid off driving other brands of vehicles, well, they helped put themselves out of business.

That not withstanding, after my latest car - Toyota Camry, I don't think I'll be looking at too many other brands. My Toyota is a better car than anything else I have owned, and that includes the Honda my wife currently drives.

:D you for got ..

:D I drive ford's have too mustang's ,for me I beleive they are sweet car's also not stock .. how ever at stock times these car's gave me no trouble.. how ever the whole deal about the parking thing it's kinda shaddy and conformist . Imo the notion of choice and preferance were forgotten. but my question still if ford sux's why is the mustang still in production?? and the camaro fased out.. :naughty:

Im sorry but ford epitomizes whats wrong with Detroit . Fords in general sucks. I like the F150 s but thats about it. Anybody driven an escort? :swear:

...and GM? Same difference. I drove an Escort before, no better or worse than a cavalier. It's simple the only one of the big three in good shape is Chrysler and they owe that to Mercedes, for bringing in a solid RWD chassis to build old style american cars. The America cars everyone wants are traditional American cars Charger, GTO, Mustang, and 300. Nobody pines for a Grand Am, or anything offered by Buick? Right now everyone is happy Chrysler is bringing back the Challenger and they're yelling for GM to do the same with the Camaro. The problem with Detroit in recent years is instead of trying to CONVINCE themselves to MAKE what people WANT. They tried to CONVINCE people to WANT what they MAKE. GM for years sold FWD Cadillacs and said they're as good as BMWs and Mercedes, everyone knew they weren't and couldn't justify spending $40,000+ for a luxury car based on an economy car chasis. Detroit needs to start making what people want end of story.

LOL arent escorts POS.

Fsanchez- youre right... i wasnt too clear on my stance but really, im not a big fan of detroit cars ( trucks are a dif story ) just because they do not hold a candle to the imports, japanese or european. Instead of castigating their employees and pressuring citizens to "buy american " ; please make the product good enough so that the majority actually finds a reason other than blind obedience to patronize it.

Exactly, I'll give it up for Ford's newer cars Fusion, 500 as they are based on solid platforms (Mazda and Volvo), but in the past Detroit has had problems with just getting by IMHO. I actually love Detroit vehicles (albeit mostly from the 60's) and think there trucks are the best around as well. Honestly Honda makes good cars, but if they think I'm gonna buy a Ridgeline and spend $30,000 for an elevated car chassis passing as a truck then they need help.

if you read reliability statistics articles from the last few years, you'll find that american cars are now more reliable than most european cars, i believe this may be due to european cars being outsourced to plants in china and such thus lowering quality control

japanese cars are on top of reliability though

don't get me wrong import's like bmw , audia , etc and most from japan ex: rx=7 ,supra , s-2000 , 350z are sweet car's, just don't knock ford or anyother american if your drivin a civic!! because you have'nt got a clue about what a fast car is!!! don't get me wrong they are peppy but far from fast... oh and by the way the fastest street legal civic I've seen was 12 sec!! and beleive me it was far from impressive... fwd does'nt launch from the line with as much force as a rwd it's a fact!!! you will never see a fwd car carry the wheel's 60' or more ... any how just my opinion... MFK is the bomb!!!
