Those straps are mostly for large bulky items that you can't grip well like dressers they won't make the weight easier.

My 125 gallon tank has 150 pounds of sand in it that would pretty much definitely be soaked with water during a move, so I could see it being far more weight than an empty tank. I'm thinking around 400 pounds, but I'm not sure.
You won't be able to lift the tank on or off of the stand with those. Can't imagine how useless those would be when loading the tank into a pickup truck. Worst part of moving a tank is either lifting off or setting it onto the ground/floor.

The problem with my tank is that the stand has a 1.5" lip on it that the tank must be lifted over to get it off the stand. God that's going to be a hassle some day.

No you're not, it's a really bad idea. Unless you carry that tank perfectly level, the weight of the wet sand puts enormous pressure against a single seam. You might fill the tank up only to have the seal burst.

Lift one end of the tank at a time and place a 2x4 under the tank. once you do this to both ends, a person at each end can easily get there hands under the tank to lift it.
Also instead of setting the tank down on the floor, try setting on a pair of sawhorses instead.
2 guys can move a 125glass no problem. Just remember keep your back straight use your legs when lifting and lowering.
