but as mentioned, you might want to consider transferring him to a glass tank.

I only had a 6 inch Royal and it had some serious teeth:

one that size could do some serious scuffing on your acrylic...

inevitably, he is going to go to the sides eventually...

you don't want a ruined acrylic tank...

i don't but currently i dont have a big glass tank to house it...if it damages my tank it is just another reason to get a bigger one hahaha...

i have many different species of plecos ar great sizes and know the damage they can do hahaha...

let's hope i get a new tank before it happens....:)
 
THOUGHT I WOULD BUMP UP MY ROYAL...THESE ARE REALLY COOL PLECOS...TOO BAD ONLY A FEW ARE IN COLLECTIONS WHICH ALL CAME FROM RICH AT INFINITE AQUATICS...

That is one AWESOME fish man. Seriously.
