Keep in mind that margarita snails are a colder water species. they will last for a little while in our tanks but will die because of the higher temps.

If you want to eradicate Algae for good you need a big bad skimmer and low nutrient export where possable.
 
Unfortunately no so, for the red turf algae.

I agree, that's why I use a large skimmer. I actually don't have much of an agae problem, that buildup on the back glass was 8 months old.
 
Tis true sadly about the margi's and warm water. I'd say that variety is the best in any marine set up. Different critters are better at exploiting different environments on the reef.

I had no idea. What temp range is their normal environment?
 
What areas do they populate in the wild?
