Forgotten Fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
There is a 20" eel in my overflow, and as frightening a monster as it is, I sometimes forget about it... but only for a day or two.

all my tanks are bare bottom so I usually know what is in there. But back when I had different botias I wouldn't see them for weeks on end. Not until I decided to rearrange my tank did they come out. Now that I think about it though, I think there is a feeder crawfish that is still alive in my 190 gallon african tank, I never see it though. lol

Yes, it works the same. Most sumps have some empty space and it makes for great plant-growing, which in turn is good for the tank.

A general rule of thumb is to stick everything and anything in your sump... haha... this sometimes includes livestock.

I think I still have a peacock eel somewhere in my planted tank. He could be behind the tank I guess, but I hope he's still in there.

my clown pleco and my unknown pleco are hiding somewhere in my tank

My Raphael and Feather Fin are like ninjas. They come out of nowhere during feedings, gobble up the food and then dash away. Sometimes during water changes when I take out some of the deco. they zip by my hand. It freaks me out every time because I just never know when and where I will see them.
