That truely sucks maan. Ive learned (without live items) to never expect large packages on time during this time of year. Only UPS is always Spot on with my stuff (im friends with the guy that delivers to my area) , But fedex comming from one distribution center is always Fd up. My last package (containing Items to equip my fluval 403s for Bio service was "delivery exception the day it was sposed to arrive, then was in Limbo the next two days, then finally arrived).

I think if I ever order any fish Ill go with DHL or Airborne Express.
 
Its not because of the time of year, I don't want to hear that malarky. This has happened to me at a slow time of the year too during the summer so thats not it. Its just that UPS is incompetent when it matters the most. Thats the simple truth. :swear:

i ordered fish from rapps a week and a half ago and they took over 48 hours to get to my house. i thought all my umbees were DOA but they were just freezing. all of my fish have survived and are doing excellent. never order anything online if you arent prepared for it to take longer than anticipated. sorry about the loss bro. i was worried like a mofo that mine would be dead. they were stuck in Louisville KY from 2 in the morning on thursday till 2 in the afternoon on friday. then they shipped them over night again and it took all together like 50 hours or some crap. not only that, my styrofoam cooler was cracked all the way around the bottom so there was no more insulation. that **** sucks :swear:
 
The UPS guy in my area makes sure that my house is one of his first stops when I order fish online. Fed Ex has squashed a few of my boxes but never DOA. Sorry for the loss.
 
I have ordered from UPS and I watched it being tracked and it sat at the facility by my house for a full day before it made it on the truck. As for shipping around the holidays, saltwaterfish won't even sell you anything around this time because of things like this happening.
 
The little dempsey is doing alright now. Just hiding away from the overpowering oblongus :( :ROFL:. I can see I'm gonna have to put him by himself for a while until he gets a little bigger. I don't want him dying of stress on me. :)
