No need to feel obligated for likes. I leave reactions on things I like, find funny or are plain awesome. Never do I feel obligated to like someones post because they like mine. Keep it simple for yourself

+1 -- I tend to throw out a lot Likes -- but in no way do I expect others to respond in kind just because I Liked their post(s), nor am I miffed if they don't. In fact I often do it because I'm lazy and/or don't feel like writing out something like "Nice.", or "I totally agree." etc., esp. if quite a few others have said what I want to say -- easier just to Like their post and show my support that way.

I will also sometimes Like someone's post even if it's not great or awe-inspiring or even if I have no special interest in that topic -- it's just my way of kinda saying "Hey, thanks for contributing to MFK."

On the skate forum you could deduct or add to someones "likes", called "rep" for reputation.

There were limits, and you could not continually add or deduct from one person or group of persons.
If rep was deducted it took 3x the new rep to get it back.
