I was hoping you'd be able to save it and I didn't want to mention this earlier but I have never and no one I know of who has tried has ever gotten a baby bird to the point it could live on its own.As was the case with latest one I came across in my yard,I don't even bother with them anymore.Like you said though,at least you gave it a chance.

Wow this is crazy. Just 2 days ago i found a baby bird too. We think it fell out of a nest on out garage because there were 3 other babies with it too under the garage. The others look like they hit the pavement and died, but this one was just shaking on the grass, so it probably just missed the grass. We couldnt find the nest, so we put it in a box with a towel and some water in our treehouse. Its gone today, but i think the mom took it because she was bringing stuff to it early in the am

I think trying to rescue baby birds just drag out a miserable death

that's why I let nature take it's course when I find baby birds on the ground

that being said it can be done by a pro or the right info... good on you for trying your best matey.

like you said, by a pro or someone who know what they are doing

but randoms like us who only feel sorry for the bird is only prolonging a death that otherwise comes sooner

I know people have good intentions but if you really want what's best for the bird, take it to a rehab or leave it.
