So after MFKing for a little I went for a snack and found this little bugger on the floor wraped around a table leg. He's about 8"-10" and lucky I found him before my brothers did. They would of killed him on sight:nilly:. Put him in a plastic container(w/ airholes) for now, I'll probably release him tommorrow. Can someone ID him for me?

I would say it is a rat snake.

If it has Keeled Scales (rough) Then its possibly a Pine snake,
If it has smooth scales, its a Rat snake,
Its hard to see from the pic if the scales are keeled or not.

Looks like a gray rat to me...Elaphe obsoleta

It's a gray rat snake. Pretty little guy. The baby black rats around my house look just like it, but a different color.

Yep, gray rat.

Best let him go somewhere safe. They have good reason to be nippy... I wouldnt keep him as a pet (dont know if you plan to), there are so many alternitives.

Lucky find :) And good save

how the hell did it get in your house... that should be a the question here.
