im only 19....well atm my tank is free of decor besides sand and a critterkeeper that has a few freeswimming frys from my male blk con and pink female con. but im only gunna be owning two tanks in the long run tho. my 75 and a 55 i will be getting in a few months ( gotta see how i do with the 75 and money wise )
oho if my mom was alive id be still living with her. i dont mind living with my mom ( or didnt mind ) but i just cant wait to get out right now and on my own! all the freedom and a place to CALL MY OWN!

As for moving the tank..... drain the entire thing... keep as much of the water as you can in buckets/a rubber maid tube ($5 at walmart), take out the substrate and also store that in a tub/bucket. Keep all the filter stuff in the tub with the water. Move the tank first and get it in place, then bring all the buckets/tubs of water and fill it back up, get the filters and stuff back on it (put the substrate in before the water) and you will be good to go. Thats how I did it (and I moved 2 hours away when I moved. =x) Anywho its a pain in the ass but it should work. Good luck.
It will be scary at times and extremely weird for sure... but I love being on my own. I struggle at times (and we all do/will at some point in our lives) but I make it work and I enjoy it... you just have to make the best out of it with what you can afford and be happy with it. Making sure you stay happy even when its ruff will help.
As for the post about a small 1/1 being $800 something a month, seriously??? Thats like a 3-4 bedroom good sized apartment here.

well tomm depending what what my payee says i may beable to move in within a day or 2 ( its not even up to my payee if i can move so if she says i dont have enough money im still moving. but with me getting 778 a month rent geing 300 laptop is 110 a month and my elec being at most 80 a month i should beable to make it )
ash i have a sump so i have no way of running my filter while the tank is down. the tank is predrilled . i should get a vid of me taking down my tank and moving it!

Yeah I have a sump too... you have to take it off the tank to move the tank...=] I just kept water in my sump and put my filter material in it... I dont mean run it, I mean keep the filter material in water for your BB.
