yes i did make a thread... but i only got one response, no offense to the person that replyed (thank you) but i always like to get multiple opinions on things like this since i dont know the person personally and then cant judge how reliable it is. its not personal o anything to anyone its just being safe. lets put it this way, if say, the bug is dangerous to my polys, and a newbie gets on and for the heck of it says its harmless without knowing one way or the other whether or not it is and my polys get hurt, well thats not very responsible of me to have trusted just one person without adequate reasoning for doing so. im just trying to be a responsible fish keeper. thats not offensive at all and anyone who understands that would completely agree with me. see, no worries. im just double checking. and i will net it out and kill it next time i see it.

ya i know right, i read a post by Anee about some scientists that had examined the contents of something like 110 wild senegals and they mostly found insects, i think. but if Anne thinks i should catch it and kill it... i think she knows more about this than i do

they may eat it but if they don't then it will bite your polys at some point and maybe leave them open to infection so to be safe kill it
