Found hydra in my polypterus tank

Ok this may be a dumb question but what are hydra? I mean I know the multi headed monster Hercules fought but not in an aquarium.

It's kinda like that but instead of a body it has 1 foot. look at google images theres bound to be one

Did you know they can be immortal? They have no life span and don't seem to age at all. Hydra are fascinating and ancient critters, they will also eat other things in your water and keep it cleaner. I'm proud of mine. You sure you want them to die?
