Yup.

I've refused fantastic rescues in the past, knowing at the time I was not really equipped to handle them without putting everyone else at risk. I only take on what I KNOW I can handle. Saving one and putting many others at risk is not a rescue, and I've got my hands full already. I'd have to do some serious thinking about my stock before I'd run over and grab him.

tsn x marbled pim. very shy fish

It's just that every one I've seen has the TSN white belly. I know with hybrids it's a genetic hodge podge, but that seemed to be a consistent trait. But, yeah. That was and still is my first guess.

My other thought is that maybe whoever is making these changed up which one they used for the male and female.

I thinking I'm going to not add anymore. I need to be saving my $$$ for building the indoor pond. The kitties are getting big, and that 600 is only going to last them so long. Then I have not sooo monster, monsters lined up for the 600. I don't think adding another giant cat is in my future.

I'll have to take a look at some of your threads. :)

So, I posted this little guy on Planet Catfish, and I have apparently stumped them. It makes me think even more that this is probably some hybrid.

Leiarius marmoratus x jau has been thrown into the ring as well. Not sure yet.

My husband offered to go back and pick him up on the way home! AHH! If he keeps it up, it's gonna come home, but I know in the end, it will be like the new puppy. Everyone's excited about it and willing to pick up the poop. Two months later, mom's the only one out there walking the dog and picking up the crap....
