Two of the IDS have been adopted by Rodrigo of PredatoryFins late Summer last year, 2019. Then one 8" jivi was donated by Steve of Naples, FL in the Fall. All of normal coloration.

All the IDS have been doing well. The biggest that's about 5 years old is near a 3' mark. The eyeless old guy of about 15 years or older hasn't grown any in years but feeds well, seems to dart and bump into walls less too with years. The 5 year old late bloomer albino too has been doing well in 4500 gal, now clearly over 24" and bearing notably less of occasional damage from aggressive and toothy tank mates.

Steve's IDS has grown well and quick to 14" in a 240 gal, then was tried in 4500 gal where it was immediately preyed upon by our 30" temensis pbass, so had to be taken out and put back in one of the 240 gal.

Nov 2019:

It reached around 22" in that 240 gal, where initially it was feeding and behaving well but lately slowing down on feeding likely because it felt cramped, and was recently tried again in 4500 gal. Begins at 20:50 minutes:

Yet, it hadn't worked out either - vulture catfish decided it was their new live chew toy and a meal and stripped a good part of its caudal and anal fins in minutes, so off it has gone into a new 1800 gal where it started to heal (sorry, worst photos, bad lighting, but they convey the vulture damage):

Steven's IDS from 1800 gal has gone to one of Roderigo's customers. Here are the three in 4500 gal - the largest common at 3', the eyeless 15 yo, and the albino 5 yo:

The eyeless one was adopted out. The two others remained (plus another rescue came in, badly, badly stunted, at 2 years old and 8"; huge oversized eyes, long awkward overgrown fins; prior owner said it didn't feed well / couldn't compete well)

The two big ones, normal and albino 11:05-11:50 min

The 1.5ft rescue from Casey of Kissimmee FL has been at our place for half a year now or longer. Looks badly stunted, not really growing much. Still in 240 gal. Feeds well though.

The two IDS in the 4500 gal continue doing well, except IDK what's happening with an eye on the bigger, normal colored one. The right eye little by little got covered by a white thick film. Never seen this before... but the fish feeds quite well and otherwise is not giving any cause for concern.

Not sure why but that video won't play for me. In the absence of that, I wonder, do they eat the bait fish?

Nothing is wrong with the video playing on my end.

Hunger makes them take anything. When smaller, they seem to prefer pellets. When bigger and pellets don't fill them up, they will also take thawed fish in our hands too.

Rebooted the computer and now it's playing just fine. Everything looks like they're enjoying their food.
