i'd love to have a large enough tank for a group, heck i don't even have a large enough tank for 1 (the one i have was rescued from a 10) but i do love the guy and if i had the tank space i'd deffinately go with a group.

one will do fine though.

now i really want to set up my 90 like right now and get it cycled so i can get fish in a couple weeks. i love the body length whiskers.

my 4 line loves 2 things......hiding and eating.

they do get to be about a foot long and do go psycho during feeding, so make sure the other fish aren't shy eaters or else you'll wind up with a very well fed pictus and not so well fed other fish.
:iagree:
psycho is the perfect word!! as soon as they smell food hit the water they're super long whiskers start moving back and forth looking for the food! when they find it on the bottom they look like sharks finging a fish on the seafloor with the head pointed down and tail almost straight up! at least thats how mine does it. not a "community" fish i hada dither in the tank for over a year he managed to survive and then one day i noticed ididn't see him and Beast had a very large tummy...................... :rip Chili.............
chili was a sword tail about 4" and beast was about 3"

you should only keep one sure he'd be lonely for a while but they get territorial anyways and then you'd only have a bunch of fighting cats.
