hey all. i just wanted to share stories/experiences with four line pim catfish. i have had mine a few months now and i really enjoy him. he loves to eat tilapia and Hikari Carnivore pellets. I want to hear how big yours is and how long you've hate(so i can get an idea of growth rate. i bought mine at around 4" and he still looks about 4" just fatter. he is also pretty aggressive but is cool with my rope fish. It's the only fish my FLP will hang out with in the rock cave. the FLP will even fight my 8" ornate and 5" JD(at least when he's in the tank) and win. but loves the rope fish. i find it strange but pretty cool. another thing i've noticed is that it has a split in its adipose fin that he has always had and never grew back. anyways i want to hear your stories for this awesome medium sized catfish.

I had one about 7 inches...He grew about an inch in a year but he was already pretty big to begin with. Also, very greedy lol.

I have one on order, will pick up next week. Had a hard time finding one.

I have 2 of them. One warning i would give is the term none predatory seems to be wrong after they hit around 7 inches to 10. anything 2 inches or less is fare game if it is within 6 inches of the bottom.

Thanks, bro. Yet another proof that everything is relative. This is one of the most common by far and large catfishes that even all/most chains stock (speaking of the USA). While this statement is absolutely true, it does not mean that someone cannot have problems finding one.

Really? In Europe P. Pictus is extremely common but 4 lines are quite rare even in stores which don't just stock standard community fish.

Another interesting difference between EU and USA.

... That's my deliberation is confined to one country. Jag14 is from Tennessee.
