FOWLR with inverts: Parasite problem.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I agree, but my tank is only 20 gal. It's basically the size of a quarantine tank itself. I lowered the Salinity, and honestly, the ich has already dissapeared. The goby that was covered in it is now fine. I am not counting my chickens (err marine fish), but it looks like it's working. The inverts are behaving normally so far.

After going with a lower salinity and higher temp, I have no fish with visible parasites. Great Success! LOL I also have been using Garlic supplements. Thanks to all those that gave suggestions, my tank is looking great!

it's no the size that matters it's the fact that you can use copper and other such chemicel w/o harming your inverts.

That's the point is that the quarantine would be the same size as my SW tank, and would take up the same amount of space and cost the same.

just reviewed your fishlist.

yeah you'd prettymuch NEED to have it twenty i was going to suggest like a ten or something, but that wouldn't work.
as for the cost all you'd need is an airstone, some, SOME *newly purchased* cured LR, and a heater. (with regular water changes)

idk i guess that's what i love about small salties, it's the challenge of will.

It is a challenge for sure. When I move, the 20 gal will be my quarantine and I'll convert a 55 to sw. But for now, no space for a quarantine.
