How bad is the evap. from having the sump open top?

How much bio media do you have in that tub? and what kinds?

Thanks guys, this works like any other sump. Gravity fed, power return.

The evaporation is not noticeable since this room is not air conditioned. Even if it was the drip system I have would mask the problem . I think there is about 30g of bio media. I'm using mostly pot scrubbers, but I also have lava rock, bio ball, ceramic rings, and a few sponges thrown in there as well.

i would be scared to clean that thing

i spilt 30g's of water on my floor
my carpet smelled like old dog for weeks
and my floor is indented

Nope, the lumber and padding is in the garage. I just keep building on it so I haven't started to frame it.
