why is it that snails always seem to get in your tanks even when you dont put them in there?? they always just magically appear it seems

i know about coming in on plants and that stuff, i'm in the trade lol
They don't tun over ya gravel that much and they just reproduce so fast that they would clog up any filtration especially undergravel systems!! they are plant friendly as far i know becuase i have Giant/Jungle Vallis and they haven't touched it yet.
i am gonna try a copper based treatment that says to use for one hour then gravel clena on a water change so will see how it goes and let ya know. its called snail smasher

ahh..makes sense b/c i just got some live anacharis from my lfs and snails are everywhere

Good luck with that, if you have any plants I don't see them making it through the treatment. Be very carefull as copper is very toxic to many types of fish even at low levels.
lol i got the same problem as u, but i dont think my snails burrow. lol but they were all over my drift wood, but i got my 10 loaches today. lol so my little team of snail exterminators are doing there job, ive been watching them and they go inside of my driftwood, and they were searching for snails

finally no more snails. i hope.er yes they are Yo yo Loach!! yea i kna about copper useage and the dangers. we use it at work on the marines sometimes at low levels and with the trops. prob do it next thurs or something.
