FREAKING CRAP.. heater blew!

I got this heater about 2 months ago and it just popped. called the shop asking why can a 2 year old heater out last a 2 month old heater they cant offer me warranty or do anything about it, they are saying it's my fault. I wasn't near it how is it my fault!!!

this is what happens when you buy quality!

don't get me wrong, i love the jagers, that's what has been running my tanks for the past 5+ years but for them now to say no warranty... it's a bit poor.

thats the first time I have seen an ebo crack like that! I broke just about every other glass heater out there but not ever an ebo. I still have 1 working for 15 yrs. I would say the store is responsible for replacing the heater c'mon only 2 months I would understand if it was near 1 yr but not 2 months.
 
Sorry to hear what happened. I've been using ebo jager heaters for years now.. and have one in all my tanks. Did you talk to the manager about it?
 
broken glass USUALLY (like 99.999% of the time) means:
1) Fish broke it.
2) It was on out of water.
3) Decorations in the tank fell and hit it.
4) You dropped it.

I hate to be mean, but I would not warranty against any of the above for a glass heater, either. P.S. I use marineland stealths and titanium heaters.
 
I wouldn't write off ebo's... They've been good to me for years... My guess is a fish broke it.. I had oscars years ago and they broke like 3 heaters before i had to hide them in the tank under decorations..
