WOW, good to know. I think I rember reading that somewhere now that you say that. Thank You

Hi, have you tried putting a slice of cucumber in the tank. But make sure its weighted down (we use a non-rusted nail) it work a treat!

Ok, here's what you need to do. Get a glass bottle, with a neck big enough for the snails to fit in, but nothing else. Squeeze a couple of slices of cucumber or zucchini down into the bottle and leave it in the tank overnight. By morning, most of the snails should be inside the bottle eating the veggies. If you still have more just repeat the same process. It works like a charm! :)

I use Clown Loaches to control snails in my planted tank.
You can manually remove them with a small plate on the bottom with lettuce underneath overnight. BUT snail are ridiculously prolific and all you can do is control them. To eradicate them completely you'll have to break down and disinfect the tank and replace the gravel

i dont think id go with loaches cause you have big fish-eating fish and you already know what would happen to them.puffers are retarded too,the one i had would only eat blood worms and nothing else.the bottle method seems most likely to work, saying as veggis like to float.sorry that i couldent be much help.

i actually want snails in my tank but my oscar keeps eating them, even my big apple snail,no snail is safe with an oscar around.one time one of my oscars ate a crawdad and sh*t out all the parts in big chunks.i didnt know where they came from until i came to the conclusion that since he was the biggest fish in the tank (5-6 inches) by far, only he could have done it,talk about some major constipation.

I have 2 huge apple snails in with my O's (the snails are probably about baseball size though) so the O's leave them alone.
The veggie method for removing unwanted snails works the best IMHO.
