freckled tulip eel?

any info on these guys? my lfs/my work got them in last tuesday. i highly doubt anyone knows anything about it because our distributor(poseidon aquatics) likes to make up names for fish, but i figured it was worth asking. it looks like the outcome of mixing a bichir and a lungfish. i could find no info on google, and i figured id give asking you guys a try.
ill try to post pics on saturday night(the next day i work).
any info would be appreciated as usual.

i know tulip eels are the common name for freshwater morays.
actually brackish.

nah definitely not any moray. this thing looks a lot like a lungfish more than anything, its short and stubby and has a decent sized mouth. gills and fins as well so for sure no true species of eel.

are they black with yellow or white spots?

full yellow with black speckling. probably about 4-5" long and 1" wide. fat little head with a mouth big enough to swallow a small fish.

if the coloration was the other way round it might have been a south american lungfish.

pretty sure its not a lung just because of the mouth. its eyes do seem similar sized though. it has an axolotl-like tail if that helps any...
