Just wondering if anyone can tell me when to expect to see mine color up, he's about 4" now. He eats massivore delight, nls, and market shrimp. I got him at about 2", he just seems so dull colored.

By the way he lives with a pair of convicts, a bichir, afemale pike, and some silver dollars in a 100 gallon.
Not sure about when they get color,but maybe he is getting stressed? That could affect his color,have your convicts bred yet? If/when they do they can can really stress out all tankmates
Could be, no one really bothers him, he loves when the convicts spawn, him and the pike usually raid the eggs.
Could be bad water quality I find the better my water quality better the fish looks and more active it is
