So I was over at one of my friends house and he tends to have a backyard full of treasures (read junk) so I was in quiring about soem glass panels he had against a fence and he asked what I would use them for, I said I'd make an aquarium out of them. He then goes "oh do you want an aquarium?" I say sure how big? He said 135g. I say sweet!

So the aqurium has been sittign outside and needs to be re-sealed and the stand needs to be sanded and oiled again but other than that everything is in working order equpment wize.

so 135g tank
sump with biomedia
sump overflow
solid wood stand
solid wood cover
lighting (3 x 24" t8)
all tubing
4 airpumps
2 1200gph pumps
overflow
2 buckets of gravel
decorations including driftwood
and more
all free!!!

gonna take abit of tlc to get the tank and stand where they need to be but for free who can argue with the price?

SCORE!!!!!!!

That's pretty cool man. Just a little bit of elbow grease and you basically have a new tank. That's perfect that he has filters/lights/heater/pumps too. I'm envious!

when i first read the thread title I thought you were giving away a free tank..LOL...Anyway goodluck with the tank dude!

holy crap thats awesome
damn thats a lucky find
good luck
next time you find a free 135 Ill pay freight to get it here ;)

thanks for the link to the guide, but the ge silicone 1 is literally 1.50$ cheaper. based on caulking roofs I think I'll need 1-2 tubes. so we're talking 3$. while I'm sure plenty have used it there some logistics to think about. Such as, petsmart is less than a mile form my house. home depot is 8 miles. My truck gets 15mph and gas is 2.75$ in AZ right now.

so the savings isn't worth the drive. imo.

Result guy.
I thought this is one of those threads that you open up and some one asks what is the coolest cichlid to mix with catfish or something lol.

The sump looks really good and very interesting bio media.
