this is different. the gar might be in extreme pain and may never get better. in which case, it's probably more humane to put it out of its misery. tough decision one way or another, but part and parcel of the hobby.

Skyboy, sorry for the position you're in

in that case, say your last good byes :/

Same thing happen to my gar,but i kept it for quite long that i find it hard to let go,so i decided to keep mine till the very end,so far its normal juz that its swimming is no good :D

I had one bend like that and as it got bigger it straightened out. I currently have a cuban that it happened to. And for the money it cost, I will let nature take its course and hopefully it will grow out of it like the florida I had

Thats just cruel its like somebody has diabetes and u kill him...

Cruel? Per the OP, the fish can't really swim...
Swimming not gd keep floating on top but some times will go down..
Eat? Of cos haha take mp :)

It is still eating, but it could be in a lot of pain. More cruel to keep it alive and make it suffer... if theres a chance it will straighten out and heal then by all means give it a go, but usually (at least from the other threads I have seen here) when a larger fish breaks its back it ends up dying...

broken back is not akin to diabetes... maybe a lil stretch there. Its your call OP. I wouldnt sell it though
