"Free range" Chameleon Idea.

i like the idea. for a tree i would use a hibiscus tree or bush.

Im gonna go to the plant warehouse and see what they have that is somewhat tall and branchy. I will trim the bottom branches for about a foot so they dont stick out close to the ground, but I will wind one of my bio-vines around it so the cham has a way of making it to the ground to eat. I will probably also try feeding silkworms right in the tree.

Im totally psyched about this now :) I just sold a guitar so ive got a bit of cash to put into it.

be sure to post some pics if your idea comes threw

I have kept chameleons before and glass is no good for them. I kept Veiled Chams to be exact. I never kept pygmys as i dont like how they looks XD always brown. Plus i think it would be cheaper if you built it a custom enclosure its wouldnt be all that expensive i had a custom cham cage that took half the size of my room :D it was 8 foot long 2 foot wide and 7 foot tallabout 3 years ago. It cost be about 100 to build but if your keeping pygmys obiously the budget it gonna be smaller Maybe around 20-30. You could get 2x4 build a frame get that pet mesh from home depot ( not chiken ) it kinda looks like the meshes on windows to kep the flys out. Staple the mesh to the fram and your done. Good luck chameleons are fasinating but extreamly delicate I sold mine.

PS. I noticed your from NJ have you been to the NY reptile expo its much fun you should go one time.
