Alright Everyone,

I got an email from Ted (Anythingfish), that Jennifer and Curt love their RTC (Zurg) to death but they know that it needs a new home. Anyone in the MD/DC area care to give it a good home? It's free, but only get it if you know you can take good care of the fish.

RTC (Zurg) is 18" is being hand fed and loves to be petted.

Here is their contact info:

C'mon guys, let's show them how we can help Monster Fish and hobbyist in need!

Give them a call.

They are willing to met within 60 miles to give Zurg a new home.

I'd love to take the fish but I'm just to far. I'm actually looking for a good size RTC.

I have been keeping Redtail Catfish for many years and have 6 at the present time; the largest is over 36”. The link below to my web site will give you some important information about the care, feeding and housing of Red-Tail Catfish. The Redtailed Catfish is one of the most fun aquarium fish to keep but they eat a lot and are not choosy about which tank mate to have supper with.

Good luck with your catfish he sounds really cool!
I Saw a huge RTC and huge arowana at PEt Kingdom in San Diego, in there back holding tanks the dude said 75 bucks but i think he will go down if you had a huge tank! later keep me posted

Redtail Catfish make good community aquarium fish when they are smaller or the same size as their tank mates. The small Jaguar, Cichlasoma Managuense, hiding below the Red-Tail is keeping away from a pesky 18” Jardini. Although the 8” Jaguar and the 18” Redtailed Catfish have been raised together and appear to be getting along, the 18” Redtail Catfish is far more dangerous to 8” fish than the 18” Jardini and one day soon will be swallowed whole. Anyone keeping Redtail Catfish should be aware of this attractive fish's rapid growth, as much as 24” in one year, and the need for a large well filtered aquarium.

Hi there. I'm not very knowledgable in these forums so please let me know if I'm doing this wrong! I have a guy in Chicago who is willing to pay whatever it costs to ship Zurg FED ex overnight. He works with children in a therapy setting has a 400 gallon tank. I would love for Zurg to have a good home like that but am scared about shipping him? I'm sure there is a way to do it safely. Can you give me some guidance? Maybe the local aquariums can help us package him up with air etc?? Thanks so much. ZurgsMom

if I can find some free time this weekend to pick it up, I'm going contact them. Thanks Jed
