Just got my silver aro 2 days ago. Read around that they won't eat for the first 24hrs. Put in dried prawn this morning, fed the dog then turned around and he was munching on the prawn. YEY!!! Tried to put another one, bit it and then spat it out!! does that mean he doesn't like prawn or he's just full?

That's not true. As long as you acclimatise the fish slowly and well then most fish will eat within a few hours. Mine started feeding in around 40 minutes of arriving from the courier!
Arowana's are quite good in feeding in the sense that they do not stuff themselves to they look like a ball and will spit out food when they've had enough.
My baby arro eats at all levels he even picks the brinesrimp that i feed him off the ground

I haven't had any problems with mine feeding on the top and middle layers but as soon as it touches the ground it will ignore it. Pretentious thing!
