fishnutham]Breeding Goldfish

Goldfish mature at about 1 yr; however, they are in their prime about their 3rd year. A male that is ready to spawn will usually have tubercles about pin size that appear on the pectoral fins and gill covers. However, this does not always occur and has been seen in some females. (see photo of tubercles on male fish)

Temperatures should be about 700F. during the day and 500F. at night. You will notice them boiling at 212 F and disolving into fry sauce at 500F to 700F LOL

 i'm getting another coffee i read that twice before i pasted it

have to add some onions and garlic also and simmer at 150F for an hour

There wouldnt be any difference in feeders from the bait store or what you caught youself, both are risky.Goldfish sound kind of difficult(how come theyre so cheap? )The best feeder setups ive heard were convicts in a 30g with a 100g growout tub

go to your nearest chinatown. they usually sell some good size live meals for a large fish. i believe these are from ponds too so they arent really raised in small crowded tanks.

The fish I catch are healthy, bait is not.

It really depends on your source, I have known bait sellers who sold pristine fish and have found areas that wild fish were almost all infested with worms.

True. I have seen some messed up wild fish too. There was a lake where I grew up where all the sunfish were very pale from disease, although I have no idea what was wrong with them.
