Which do you guys like better? Fresh or salt? vote and post a reason. If you've never tried the other, select that option. if you have, choose the one you like best.

i like freshwater better for some reason......

I like salt better for the much much wider variety of creatures you can buy as well as the better color. :D

from keeping several fresh and salt tanks, i have found that saltwater fish have more interesting "personality" and more intricate behavior than fresh water fish, corals are much more colorful and interactive than plants too. but freshwater is cheaper, and you get to build cool planted community tanks though...

They both have their positives. Fresh is easier to maintain, but salt is more interesting, depending on what you stock.

I've heard people with reefs that only spend 10 mins a week on their tank simply because with saltwater its so much easier to get a fully functioning environment in the tank that it requires much less maintenance than fresh. It was a pretty sweet tank I saw that the guy spends only 10 mins a week on... :D

I love the price of freshwater.

Plus the ease of water changes, the fact that most fish will breed under correct care, the ability to keep planted tanks (yes i realize there are saltwater plants...), and i just like the fish better.

my cichlids have way more personality than any saltwater ive ever had or seen
