Fresh or Salt?

I go fresh right now, don't have the time for salt really but i do want to setup a little 2.5gal-5gal nano for some pico's or something. I've read that the very tiny nano's are harder to care for than a bigger setup like a 30gal. is that true?

very much so... the little ones are soooooo hard to take care of... the salinity is always off and thats a problem... even 30 gals are hard for beginners to salt... i read in a salt book once the best for beginners is 60+ just because of salinity stability...

yeah ATO's are almost a must on nanos

fw is fun for starting out, but sw is so interesting and challenging! and way more to offer. sw is definatly the way to go for those with deep pockets. all fish are great tho.

I did salt first and I still have the tank running but I have a 10g fresh and they both have their ups and downs so...THEIR BOTH AWESOME!!!

I really like salt, and a good reef tank is hard to beat in the visual dept but I prefer fresh for some reason. Even if money was no option I would take a large amazon tank any day over an equally sized reef set up.

Well at the moment i enjoy my freshwater, i been doing it off and on for 10 years. Recently i purchased a 29 biocube to start my first saltwater setup.
