Fresh start for a 65 gallon

Honestly to get to 10-8 I would plan on buying at least 15 juvies, then remove males and return to the store. I have a spare 20 gallon to remove individual fish if necessary. The difficult bit would be spotting (and catching) the males. Sexing is not something that I have much experience with.

I'm not keen on the comps atm, unless anyone has some pics that could change my mind. If you went species only what would you do?

I could try trops with a pair of julies and some syno's only. no other open water swimmers for the trops to give them space. However I've heard that another open water swimmer will help to spread the aggression. If the trophs did OK on thier own that would help keep the water quality high at least. Fewer fish.
