Fresh Water stone fish mysterious death?

I have kept Thalassophryne Amazonica in FW for ages.

The most commonly kept stonefish is the Allenbatrachus Grunniens, which I believe you had, and those are brackish.

And yes, dying covered in white velvet is the way they go.......
 
I'll go get a new download cord today and put up some pictures of him before he died when I get home from work. So we can decide the species and what I've done wrong. They seem identical so Im guessing they are or were the same species.
