just found this pic online. seems like this pbb was just caught out of a lake or river? not sure the site was in a dif language.

That pics have been around for a long time now. I think it was caught in Turkana.

Ooo. Btw how do you catch a bichir. Do they use a hook and line or net?

most likely fine nets?

They wait for it to resurface and cast a net or just fish them out using a fishing rod like an old fashion way.

In the wild they said that some large bichir will resurface about 2-3 feet or more above water level.

I believe this because some of my bichirs torpedo above the water like shamu. It's the main reason why I leave 3" of air so they don't slam their head against the top.
