Well at least it's naturally deformed and not one that someone chopped up so they could sell it as a batman ray
I hear about people cut the dish to make batman ray, but i didn't see any topics or video about "handmade" batman rays. Can you send me any videos or pics?

i will try to find them,,, i mainly saw them while i researching rays

The hand cut rays used to be in the ray profile in the stickies but has been deleted.....

The real question is what do one of those go for.

If all rays looked like that I would not have a problem with it at all... As long as the mutation that causes the batman look doesn't cause them to die earlier or for them to be more prone to disease then I don't know what's so wrong with them.

Since when did a deformity become a thing. Blood parrots to these now...I deformity is what I thought always looked down upon and most fish breeders culled them ugly freak fish

Exactly, its because half wits will cut the "Batman" shape into a live ray to make money and people ( bigger half wits) will buy them . And surely these things cant eat properly swim normally etc etc.

I didn't know much about these fish but I'm guessing that the fish wouldn't be around if it couldn't eat properly, but the point about swimming is the equivalent of a human with a genetic condition that doesn't allow proper usage of a arm. The person adapts and while they might not be fully functional they are still independent.

Yeah but we dont try to breed humans with one arm or cut arms off because they "look good"
Afaik theses are just a lucky occurrence and not bred by parents. Similar to the first albino perals.

But no if you cut off an arm it certainly wouldn't be genetic and magically transpired into offspring.
